New room!

Not that I'm moving out to a new place, but I change the layout of my room!
It all started with a slow wi-fi connection. My study table used to located next
to the window. As the wi-fi frequently went on and off, I am curious is it because
my room is too far from the router. I tried a little experiment to bring my laptop
near my door, and surprisingly the wi-fi signal indicate a whopping 4 out of 5 signal.
Compare to before which is only 1 and off in another minute.

The main objective is to move the study table near the door and I ended up changing the
layout of my room, did a little changes here and there, and viola! I found my room is brighter
and there are lots of space than I thought before.

I was confused of how to display my shoes. I don't have many, but don't have little either. I used to put my high heels
on the shoe box and put it on the top shelf of my drawer. But I  thought "why hide pretty shoes?"
I put one of my newly bought wedges on the top of shoe box, making it looks like at the store...

and arranged those heels in this board that used to be the part of my study table.
I admit my shoe display is my favorite part of my room.

Remember my favorite side of my bed? Well I took the curtain off and created
a space for my tiny bookshelf. Actually I don't like curtain when my room is teeny
'coz it makes my room visually smaller!

What do you think of my newly changed room layout? Hope you like it as much as I do!

Fake English

I always curious how foreigners hear me and friends talking in Bahasa Indonesia? Talking in language they are
not familiar with? This is an interesting video about how foreigners hear people speaking English!

Long Distance

Some people asked me “how was it to be in a long distance relationship?” Here is the story.
(It's a long story, hope you enjoy ;)

Long distance is not always easy. Things are even harder when I cannot get him through; when Blackberry Messenger is pending, he is not online at MSN Messenger, and he does not reply my message don’t know why. Those things make me feel alone and stuck.
The first and second day after I go back from Jakarta will be the hardest time, when I have to adapt that his arm is not here to be hug, his smile is not there to cheer me up, his hand is not there to hold, it’s time to realize that he is not physically here. I started missing him as soon as I said “goodbye, see you soon” at Jakarta airport. My heart always sinks and I try my best to hold my tears when the plane landed at Changi, Singapore. When it is unbearable, I just let it flow and wish it will wash away these mixed feelings.

Long distance is never been easy for me, friends. It’s always emotional when I face the fact I cannot see him when weekend is coming. Chatting via Skype must be enough. Call me exaggerating, but missing someone is painful. It is excruciatingly painful when I miss him but he is not there to hug, or even to be seen. All I can hug is teddy bear you gave me. You said “If you miss me, just hug this teddy and it’s just like you hugging me.” I did, but teddy doesn’t hug back.

Put aside every sadness and tears, the beauty of long distance relationship is when I can finally meet him, after many nights of missing him. I still can remember the smile I have once I walk out of the plane, queuing for immigration, waiting for the baggage and there I see him, the one I long to see after months only looking at his picture. Simply wonderful when I can treasure every moment I can spend with him, because I know that moment won’t last forever and there will be a time I have to say goodbye at the airport. It’s funny how my heart skip a beat every time I’m about to meet him the next day. The butterflies on the stomach, the nervous and exciting feelings all mixed up. It’s just…like going for a first date every time.

Well, there are always two sides of coins, the good and not-so-good side. Long distance relationship is hard, at least for me it is. I may write on the not-so-good side longer, but if I can choose I will stay this way, because all the tears are worth paid by the joy when we meet. I learn to cherish all the time I have, hug and kiss him like it is the last time.

3 (three)

Three years ago, today. I love you more than ever.

Nanny's Pavilion

My favorite restaurant so far, Nanny's Pavilion

Beca's Mushroom Stuffing Bread with balsamic vinegar. My top on the list appetizer!

Bolognaise spaghetti I ordered. Since this experience and some other experience that
Ko Hendry managed to order food which tasted better than mine, I always asked him to order my food,
and I'll choose the dessert for both of us :)

I teased him that my food will taste better than his order, Beef Baked Rice because of the non-appealing look. But hey,
again he proved that his tasted better. I always ended up eating more of his food, haha.

I've been to Nanny's Pavilion at Central Park (with garden theme) for several times, and this post is when I visited
Nanny's Pavilion at Pacific Place (with bathroom theme).
I'll visit its other branches with other different theme when I'm at Jakarta!

Fairytale poster

Found this creative fairytale posters. Princess and the Pea is cute but my favorite is Rapunzel.

Loving Jakarta

I've been living at Jakarta, Indonesia my whole life but yet I never really appreciate this city's symbol, Monas. If you've been following my blog for awhile, you must know that I always always and always love Lady Eiffel Tower. However, I changed my mind when I saw Monas on the way to here. I stopped at the traffic light  and saw this white Monas thing, blended with the sky (well, sky at Jakarta never been so blue after all the pollution).

I have to admit it was quite  breathtaking and I'm falling in love with Jakarta all over again. Despite the  traffic, pollution, bad waste disposal, not so much  greenery and park to chill. How about your city? Do you love your city? How was it?

Ocha & Bella

Last last week when I was in Jakarta, I went to this place called Ocha&Bella

It has a cozy and relaxing ambiance, you guys will love it.

I ordered ravioli which was a YUM and I love the way it served....just like home.

After finishing our main course and chit chatting, we feel we need a dessert! So we ordered this gigantic profiteroles.
I mean, come on, I never seen profiteroles at this size. Say yes to fat, it is vanilla cream inside,
chocolate mouse outside, cream on top and chocolate sauce.

I am very much recommend this place. Tips for you, this place looks nicer at noon
around 5 to 6 when sun is still shining through ;)

Room sweet room

I just moved to a new place! This is my third time moving from places to places (seems like not having a home is not a good thing). Here is a sneak peek of my new room if you would like to see! This time I would like to keep my room sweet, simple and avoid clutter.

This is my desk where I do practically everything, from browsing the net, studying, eating while
watching my favourite movies and where I do fall asleep during exam period (it really happened!)

and this is my favourite corner...
I am glad I am so skinny that I don't have to diet. I am a snack eaters. I don't know how to survive
without eating one of those. Don't ask me why I have quite a lot of candies haha.

I used to have lots of dolls in my bed, but I decided to bring them all back to Jakarta
and left the two most precious, Loui the doggy and Tatty Teddy :)

It might be not so special but I like this side of my bed.

I put this box as my bed-side table with a glimpse of Eiffel and you

This inspiration board is far from well-done. I haven't print put any good photos so I just
ripped out pages from People magazine and put some photos I have. Will update you all
soon if I have come up with new design.

What I love about my new room is that it has much much bigger cupboard than I used to have.
This is just half side of it. (Gotta add some more scarf to my collection! :)

Well, that's my sweet teeny room. What do you think of it?

Jack Rabbit

Whew, it's been a looong break from the last time I blogged. How you've been doing so far? I went back to Jakarta quite often recently, it's like once every two weeks? WOW right? At first that was a good thing because I can see my family and lover more frequent. However, it put me in to thought that it makes me more confuse as I cannot really be committed in one place, and as time goes by it makes me feel even worse. I can't deny that I'm having a very very good time at Jakarta, tho ;p

Some of you might know this reality show called MasterChef? Well, it is quite a global phenomenon that Indonesia also have this MasterChef Indonesia with one of its judges is Chef Juna Rorimpandey. Why am I telling you this? Because I went to his restaurant, Jack Rabbit!

Ko Hendry with his Oh-I-am-so-cool expression (which is not cool at all ;p)

His drink looked more enticing compare to mine with green dull color (on behind). Without trying to defend myself, mine tasted much better anyway, haha!

I ordered Kobe beef and I didn't expect to see this. Sorry chef Juna, it tasted like raw meat to me, yaiks.

This time I have to admit that his food looked and tasted better. The onion rings were so crispy, and the meat was so succulent, everything worked well together except the mustard ('coz I don's like mustard. Do you?)

Have a cozy weeekend!

Can't believe weekend is just around the corner! How time flies here.
I believe you guys have a beautiful plan in mind for this weekend.
I'm going to spend time with my loved ones. Have a great and lovely weekends, lovelies!

Jakarta

I went back to Jakarta quite often recently. It's almost every other month I'll go back here, ha-ha. Most of my friends and families wonder how come I have too much holidays. I admit my schedule is not so strict and I'm having lots of short break during my degree. Anyway, that's not the reason why I went back this often. The thing is, after living in Singapore for two years, I felt quite lonely these days, don't really know why. It's great to have a piece of home. To be surrounded by loved ones, I am complete.

I am just...

simply not happy.
I feel like there's a big hole on my chest, empty.
That's the worse feeling ever.
I guess I just have to live with it.

When I'm alone

When I'm alone
The faces they come and they go
They all say that I haven't changed
I wish I could stay
To be where you are
The countries and cities so far
This is my dream and my gift, but sometimes I get
scared

That somehow I'll cease to belong anywhere
So I need you when it all starts to show
When I'm alone

I sleep late it's crazy I know
The worlds only passing me by
I guess that is why
I'm telling you now
That I haven't figured it out
The depth of the things that I've missed
They leave me like this

Scared
That somehow I'll cease to belong anywhere
So I need you when it all starts to show
When I'm alone

Is it true that you can find me anytime
Cause I'm feeling like I'm there, it's about that time

And I'm scared
That somehow I'll cease to belong anywhere
So I need you when it all starts to show
When I'm alone

Design Inspiration: Woody Kitchen

                                                                (via designsponge)

I love wood color as it make an impression of simplicity and home for me.
Isn't this kitchen is sweet in some ways? It'll be a perfect kitchen for two!
What kind of kitchen do you like?

C'EST MOI

a little girl, a dreamer.

I am a Jakarta fellow but currently staying at Singapore, where I spend time strolling Esplanade and IKEA. I can't believe the fact I'll be turning 20 NEXT YEAR.
